sharing the bigger picture of our adoption story
Norah is at the perfect age for enjoying a play kitchen. Every time we go to someone’s house who has one, she seems to gravitate towards it. I really love the wooden play kitchens out there (like this red one from Pottery Barn Kids and my favorite are these from Land of Nod) but they can get pricey in a hurry. I hated for us to spend a lot of money when in a few more months it will be the holidays and all the grandparents will be asking what she “wants” for Christmas. So when Christy’s Mom mentioned that she saw a smaller red kitchen for $35 at Wal-Mart I had to check it out.
I have looked and looked for an online link to this Cookin’ For Kids Play Electronic Kitchen and had no success, so I guess in a Wal-Mart store is the only place I know to tell you to look for it if you’re interested. I assembled it by myself using a small battery powered screwdriver and a real one to tighten the screws down at the end in around 30 minutes. It’s not super sturdy, but I think it’s pretty cute…
Now that Norah can cook by herself, if you’d like to come over for dinner please feel free. She’ll serve you some orange juice…
And pour you some tea
You can have some corn on the cob
Also on the menu, the banana phone

Our adoption story was written long ago, not by us but by our Creator. His plan to adopt us into His family through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ planted seeds in our hearts that came to life in June 2007 when we welcomed Norah into our family through a domestic adoption. Though the little details of this blog may be about our adoption story, we hope our thoughts and images might inspire you to look into the bigger picture of God's plan for your life - to adopt you into His family as one of His children.
