pitch black

May 19, 2008

i dont know if this poem make sense… anyway, saw the prompt from read write poem , using simile and metaphors…

air is thick as porridge
blocking all the
language in mind,
like goalie,
keeping an eye,
like a doe when
her fawn is eating
in the forest
unmindful of the sun.

devoid of emotions
as barren as a field
after the great famine
are done.
succumbing to the
words of hungry wolves,
walking like there’s
shattered glass
scattered in the ground.

how can you close
your eyes like curtain,
with the grace of a ballerina?
when your mind
is nothing but pitch black…
