FotoWeek DC Events
During this week-long celebration of photography in the nation’s capital, events will be organized to attract those who make a living practicing the art, science, business, education and craft of photography as well as amateur photographers and the simply curious. Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA)
VLA provides legal assistance to over 6,000 clients each year in a variety of ways, including pro bono Case Placements for low-income artists and nonprofit arts organizations, the VLA Legal Clinic, the Edmond de Rothschild Foundation Nonprofit Assistance Program, and the Art Law Line, a legal hotline.
Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts (WALA)
WALA provides education, advocacy and volunteer legal services through workshops and seminars, legal clinics for artists and arts organizations, and pro-bono referral services.
Washington DC Arts Expo
The 2nd Annual Washington DC International Arts Expo was held from September 19-21, 2008 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. Washington DC International Arts Expo (WIAE) staff had well over 100 celebrated artists from around the country will exhibit their masterpieces at the Washington, DC. Thousands attended this three-day experience, which featured works from an array of fine and student artists, informative seminars and workshops, galleries and live entertainment throughout the weekend. Art lovers, curators and collectors previewed and purchased one-of-a kind works, sought after collector pieces and enjoyed meeting with the artists, gallery owners and vendors.
