Well, it seems that my post from last month, Tenth of September 2008 — The End of the World?, is currently the Hawt post on WordPress (well, it was… briefly!) I think this means it’s the top post, or one of them, something like that. :) I’m sitting here watching my stats with my mouth open. The hysteria that seems to have prompted the number of hits that this post is getting is, frankly… well, words actually fail me. I’ve been discussing this for days, watching the cyber-panic grow and grow, and it’s starting to get rather exhausting LOL. Consequently, I’ve closed comments on the post in question and will only be letting a limited few through on related posts. I don’t like doing this, but I haven’t time to moderate it as much as I like to and I think most points have been covered adequately.
Now, can someone please tell me something to take my mind off the subject! I’ve got colliding particles coming out of my ears (not literally, of course… that really would be something!)

I’ve been watching your stat counter with awe (I must sound like a total groupie!) LOL
This should get your mind off it, at least for a few minutes. Of course, you’ll go away from it thinking that Mike and I totally weird. Oh wait… you already knew that, didn’t you? ;)

I saw that you were the Hawt Post earlier, and I have been following the comments on that entry with much amusement (and yes, fear of idiots!)

Lottie: I came back to the computer after having a bite to eat and did a doubletake. There were actually 46 people here at the same time at one point! Bizarre LOL.
Thoroughly enjoying Mike’s embarrassment in his day four poo — I mean post! (That Greek dish does look nice, though.)
Carrie: I’m glad you’ve been enjoying those comments! Some of them really were priceless, weren’t they? It started to get quite frustrating towards the end.

I suppose I must have, yes… so does that mean if you and I collided really quickly we might see some of them? (When I say “collided”, I naturally mean in a very masculine, rugby-playing kind of way ;) )
