We believe that individuals who are blind or visually impaired, including those with new vision loss, have unique needs that merit the attention and support from the Guild's knowledgeable staff members and from the most current resources available.
We believe children and adults who are blind or visually impaired have the right to receive respect and attain independence at home, in the workplace, and in the community.
We believe that it is important to promote positive attitudes about blindness among people who are sighted and among people who are blind or visually impaired.
We believe blindness is often misunderstood and that we must work to educate the community regarding what blindness is and how people who are blind live independently.
We believe that we must obtain and encourage feedback from the individuals we serve and that we must listen to and respond to that feedback in the most appropriate manner.
