According to the GIO websie, "You can ask government information librarians who are experts at finding information from government agencies of all levels (local, state, regional, national international) on almost any subject from aardvarks to zygomycosis." You can chose to ask your question via live chat and communicate interactively with a librarian Monday through Thursday, 8am to 6pm, Friday 8am to 5pm (U.S. Central Standard Time). Or you can select email and get a response within 48 hours. The latter would be appropriate for more involved questions. The librarians who answer questions at this website are all specialists in government resources from a number of major universities in the United States. The best types of questions to ask of this government service would be things related to the federal government: information on the war in Iraq, statistics on education or the economy, contact information for various offices of the government, etc. For help with most of your research or information questions, you'll still get the best service right here at the Milne Library Reference & Information Desk.
