Presenters include area newsroom pros and top classroom pros from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications and from area high schools. Keynoter is the witty and amusing Jack Kennedy, president of the Journalism Education Association and a former Dow Jones Newspaper Fund High School Journalism Teacher of the Year who lives near Denver. Awards will be presented for the more than 30 individual categories with honorable mention, excellent or superior designations. Overall publications will earn placements and even the top Golden Flash Award. And find out whose design will be the new logo for OSMA! Saturday’s FIVE sessions start at 9 a.m. and run until 2 p.m. Choose from a wide range of topics, including writing, editing, design, multimedia, broadcast, law and ethics, and much more. The last session will be presentation of Day-of Awards from Friday’s contests. This will be in the one-of-a-kind FirstEnergy Interactive Auditorium with its high-end wireless technology. Want to grab a bite in the middle of the day? Franklin and Moulton Halls are right across Main Street from Chiptole’s, Wendy’s, Burger King and other great spots. Have sessions in the Student Center?
