Part-Time Teaching OpportunitiesKent State University's School of Journalism and Mass Communication continually seeks qualified candidates for part-time, temporary positions. Adjunct faculty members, who teach at least one course a semester, receive a tuition fee waiver for up to a maximum of four credit hours to be taken during or immediately following the semester in which the part-time faculty member is employed.
Areas in which applicant are often needed include advertising, photography, news, public relations and electronic media. Selection is based on the applicant's qualifications for teaching a particular course.
The School keeps applications for part-time teaching on file for one year. Assignments are made on the Kent campus or on one of the seven regional campuses of Kent State University.
