More than 60 JMC alumni, faculty, staff and friends helped root on the Golden Flashes to a "Bracket Buster" basketball victory over Creighton, 70-55.
For the second consecutive season, Kent State was selected to play in an ESPN-televised game highlighting mid-major schools.
And, for the second consecutive year, Friends of JMC@KSU held a social gathering at the game in the MACC loge.
KSU President Carol Cartwright, Provost Paul Gaston, and Athletic Director Laing Kennedy all stopped by to visit. In addition, we were joined by 23 members of the KSU Alumni Association and its National Board of Directors.
Friends of JMC president Lori Cantor called it "a truly exciting event."
"The Golden Flashes weren't the only winners," she added. "Everyone had a great time meeting each other and cheering on the team."
