Love is a powerful word. Some will never feel what true love feels like. When two people come together and connect on levels unknown to the normal public. It is a powerful healier. It can completely change a life with one kiss. Nothing else on earth is like it.
The only way one will ever experience true love is if they are completely whole with themselves. A person must learn to love and except all that they are before they can even try to love another on that level. By inward and outward looking is the first step to loving yourself.
1. One must surround themselves with positive people.
2. One must get rid of all those people that cause headaches. (The saying keep your friends close and your enemies closer is false. One should keep enemies far, far away, and friends close and family closer.)
3. One must find the inner beauty that they hold.
4. One must fall deeply in love with one’s self (almost to the point of cockiness - but not crossing the line).
5. One must accept that they are worthy of an equal partner.
6. Finally, one must let go and fall in love.
If your love life is not happy. If you feel you are missing something. If it is falling apart on you. If you feel that you cannot do anything right. Then you are not completely in love with your self. Because if you were you would not be faced with all these problems. If you are completely in love with yourself you would not tolerate anything less than an equal love from your partner. q
I particularly agree with number 6. Unfortunately, for love-seekers, love cannot be sought-after. Instead love approaches when our experiences fortuitously entangle with those of a potential lover. If our experiences ‘tangle’ successfully, love strikes us in the face. However, by forgetting ourselves and simply hunting for ‘love’, we always find something inadequate, since we did not first investigate ourselves to see what exactly ‘my’ form of love is.
