Ashley McKenzie is featured in BBC's Olympic Dreams

Age 18, Judo -60kg

Ashley became interested in judo at the age of 11 during a scrap over Pokemon while playing cards.

He quickly realised the potential of judo and is currently ranked as the junior number one in his weight category.

He grabbed bronze at the 2007 European Junior Championships and has now moved up to the seniors and recently won gold at the British Open.

Ashley is one of eight members from Willesden Judo Club in London selected for a British Judo elite training programme.
