Linda C. Hodges Dean's Professorship

This professorship was established with a bequest from Dr. Daphine Doster in honor of Dr. Hodges, Dean of the College of Nursing. It will support the recruitment and enhance the salary of future Deans in the College of Nursing.

Dr. Sheila Collier Horner Scholarship 

This scholarship was established in honor of College of Nursing faculty member Dr. Sheila Collier Horner.

Dr. Elizabeth O'Connell Scholarship

Mike Spades Scholarship

This scholarship will support a student in the BSN Program. It is given in memory of Mr. Spades by his family in appreciation of the nursing care he received.

Alice Sun Gerontology Professorship

This professorship was established with a bequest from Alice Sun in memory of her husband Dr. D.N. Sun.

Resa Etta Turner Scholarship

This scholarship will support a RN student returning to complete the Masters Program. It is a tribute to Resa Etta Turner, a nurse who died while a graduate student the masters program.

Angie Faye Waldrum Scholarship

This scholarship will support a student in the Masters Program. It is a tribute to Angie Faye Waldrum a nurse who contributed a great deal in the field of Public Health and Psychiatric Nursing.

This scholarship will support a student in the BSN Program who demonstrates financial need.

Class Scholarships

The 1996, 98, 99, 2000 classes of the College of Nursing have undertaken to endow scholarships for current nursing students.

A full scholarship requires an endowment of $25,000. Friends of the College of Nursing may make gifts to these scholarship accounts at any time.
