God Loves People
by David J. Stewart
There is no greater truth in all the world - God Loves People! We read from the Word of God in John 3:16 the following precious words:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
What a wonderful truth!!! The verse doesn’t say that God only loves Christians or religious people. The verse doesn’t say that God only loves righteous or church going people. The verse doesn’t say that God only loves Bible-thumpers. The Word of God is clear that God loves the “world” (and that includes everyone). No matter who you are, God truly loves you.
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.” - 1st John 2:2
Jesus died on the cross for all humanity, because God loves the whole world. This means that God loves the murderer. This means that God loves the adulterer. This means that God loves the homosexual. This means that God loves the crooked politician and the corrupt banker. This means that God loves the vilest sinner and the worst criminal. This means that God even loves the Pope. God loves people! God loves all people of all faiths and backgrounds. I’ve learned over the years to view people as objects of God’s love. If I start to think critical about someone, I’ll catch myself and say to my self “That’s a man that God loves” or “That’s a woman that God loves.” I’ll remember that we we’re all created by the same Divine Creator, and that God knows what He is doing.
“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:” - Ephesians 2:4-8
What a precious passage of Scripture. I cannot stress the truth enough that God loves people; all shapes and sizes, all different temperaments and personalities, all varying levels of intelligence and character, every race, every tongue, every nation, every family,…etc. God loves people!!!
God loves the vilest sinner. Howbeit, God does not condone their sins and wicked lifestyles. We find a little over a hundred references in the Bible to God’s love; however, we find a startling seven-hundred references in the Bible to God’s holiness. God’s holiness demands justice (that sin be paid for). If there is to be legitimate justice, then the scales of justice MUST be balanced. There are two ways for the scales of justice to be balanced:
1. You pay for your own sins in hell-fire for eternity.
2. Accept God’s gift of atonement through Jesus Christ.
Though one may not understand the severity of being sentenced to burn in Hell for all eternity because of sin, we must realize that God is far more holy and just than we could ever imagine. We’ve all seen the hypocritical and unfair justice of man. While crooks who steal hundreds of millions of dollars (e.g. Enron and Arthur Anderson), mothers of children are sentenced to life in prison for getting busted with $40 worth of cocaine. There is little justice in this world. I cannot speak for God, I simply do not know (or even comprehend) how He will sort out all the injustices throughout history. But I do know that we shall all give account to God for our own personal words and actions through our earthly life. God is a just (fair) God.
Romans 14:12 - “So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.”
Romans 12:19 - “Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.”
God WILL avenge us of those who have hurt, abused and taken advantage of us in life. The same holds true for how we have treated others. God’s judgment will be a thorough judgment (not one stone unturned).
Matthew 12:36 - “But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.”
So please understand that even though God loves people, His holiness must allow justice to supersede all else. I believe that God’s eyes will be filled with tears as He has no choice but to sentence people to the fires of hell. We have such a hard time understanding this because we are not holy like God is holy. There is no way that finite men made from the dirt of the earth can comprehend the workings and divine wisdom of an omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent God. Only a fool demands answers to unanswerable questions! No one knows where the earth came from (let alone the universe). No one knows how big the universe is. No one knows how it all got started. No one truly knows how old the earth is. Yet, mankind desperately seeks to answer these questions. The fact that there are no logical answers which would agree with PROVEN science (e.g. laws of thermodynamics) can only mean one thing: there is a divine Creator. And the divine Creator loves you friend.
God loves people! The very God Who created you from the dust of the earth loved you enough to die upon the cross for your sins. He shed His perfect, sinless blood for you and me. Even though He knew in His foreknowledge all the horrible things that people do, He still willingly went to the cross to pay for their sins.
Romans 5:8 - “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
God knew who you would be and exactly what you would do ever before He even created you or went to the cross to suffer for your sins. What a wonderful God and Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ.
It’s easy for people to mistake hatred rather than love when sin and false religions are preached against. I don’t enjoy exposing the wicked Catholic religion, but it is an act of love by which I am trying to warn people. If you are Catholic and think I am wrong, then at least know that I care enough about you to tell you what I believe to be the honest truth. People sometimes hate me for being honest. That’s alright for me, at least I know I have done the right thing to warn people.
Galatians 4:16 - “Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?“
If you believe that something bad is going to happen to another person and you don’t even try to warn them, then you surely don’t care about them (let alone love them). So you see friend, I care about you enough to warn you of things which I believe to be dangerous.
On a website such as this, where so many things are exposed and refuted, it would be very easy for someone to erroneously conclude that this is a hate site. It surely is a love site, not a hate site. I do not hate anyone. I do not hate people who perform or receive abortions, I do hate the murdering of little babies. I do not hate people who drink beer, I do hate the fact that liquor destroys so many lives each year because of careless people. The problem is that too many people have been careless AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE CARELESS. Millions will die in the years to come because of liquor related deaths. I don’t hate Catholic priests or members, but I do hate the idolatrous sin of bowing down to a statue of Mary. No such teaching is found in the Bible. No one ever bowed down to Mary in the Bible. I believe that trying to keep the Sacraments to enter heaven is a damnable heresy. The Word of God is very clear
“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;” - Titus 3:5
The only door into heaven is through Jesus Christ (John 10:9). That door is Jesus, NOT the Catholic church or any other church. Do not be deceived, only through Christ ALONE can you be saved. It is a PERSONAL relationship you start with Jesus Christ the moment you invite Him into your heart to forgive your sins and become your personal Saviour. You can have a personal relationship with every priest, pastor and religious leader in this world and still go straight to hell when you die. You need to forget what man (the church) can offer you, and instead turn to Christ in simple child-like faith for salvation. I say this in love, not hate or unkindness.
Please understand, friend, that I do not hate anyone. On the contrary, I love people VERY MUCH; hence, that is why I make this website. We may agree to disagree, but we are both loved of God more than we can possibly imagine. We look at the condition this horrible world is in and wonder if God really loves us. He does! Even God told us that the world was a wicked place in which to live (1st John 5:19). Remember, Herod killed thousands of children in an attempt to destroy the baby Jesus. Why did God allow John the Baptist (the greatest man born amongst women) to get his head cut off? So even in the Bible, the world was in shambles. No human being can fully claim to have all the answers, I surely do NOT. God did not intend for us to understand all things, just what we NEED to know to make it through life. Therefore, it requires our faith! Do you have faith in God. To believe in Evolution requires faith, because there is NO proof. Where is your faith? You must have faith in something, even if foolishly in yourself (Proverb 14:12; 16:25). Mine is in the Lord Jesus Christ and the King James Bible. God loves you friend, and so do I, but God loves you infinitely more than I ever could. Won’t you invite Him into your heart and life now? God loves people, He hates sin, but He so much loves each and every sinner. You are greatly loved whoever you may be, I know it’s very hard to feel that love in a hustle and bustle sinful world that is so cold.
Perhaps sin has destroyed your life (and happiness) already and you feel there is little reason to go on living. Come to Jesus now and give your heart to Him. Ask God to make a change in your heart and life. You can be like the repentant Ebenezer Scrooge after he came to his senses. It’s not too late. You can find your life again. The choice is up to you. The second thing you need to do after making things right with God is to make things right with everyone you feel you may have wronged (your family, coworkers, acquaintances, neighbors, a son, a daughter, ex-spouse,…etc). You’ll never have true peace until you do. At least make an attempt to right your wrongs by apologizing. An apology can do wonders. Even if they won’t forgive you, at least you can be at peace with yourself for trying to reconcile with them. There’s little more you can do. True peace begins when we get right with God, and then get right with man. But nothing is more important than knowing for sure that you’re going to Heaven.
Whether you feel it or not, you are loved by the Holy God of this universe.
Kindest regards,
Dave

I have to greatly disagree on this topic “God Loves People”. There are many verses in scripture that state that God actually hates people. Here are some verses.
Psalm 5:5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.
Psalm 11:5 The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
Rom. 9:10-14 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Issac; (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
John 14:21 He who has my commandments, and obeys them, he is the person who loves me; AND HE WHO LOVES ME SHALL BE LOVED OF MY FATHER, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. (God loves those who love him)
The love gospel is a perversion of truth. You can not win souls if you say God loves all people. It is a holy fear and awareness of God that brings people to repentence.
This is a hard truth to swallow, but the truth is that our loving God does in fact hate; and does not love all people. Christ himself said He died for “many” not all(Matt 20:28, 26:28, Mark 14:24, 10:45, Isa 52:12). In 2 Peter 3:9 it says, The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to US-WARD, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.” This verse is so twisted because people only want to quote the second half but miss the US-WARD statement. God send Jesus to die for US. HIS people not for all. Do you think that a God who loves all people would send them to a lake of fire? I am a father and I have two kids and I could not imagine saying to them, “Well son/daughter I love you but I have to separate myself from you for eternity.” It just doesn’t make sense that a God of love would eternally separate Himself from those who He loves.
Brother in Christ, I am not trying to be argumentative or attacking, but I see error in one of your beliefs. I am a 24 year old who has two kids and one on the way and only want to live my life for the King of Glory. MAY THE LAMB WHO WAS SLAIN RECEIVE THE REWARD OF HIS SUFFERING!!!!!
A Fellow Servant,
David
