“If God had not blinded them and willed that certain families or tribes among them should be at war with one another constantly, there would not have been an inch of land in the empire, of which the Oromos were not the masters.”
- Wrote Manoel de Almeida, a jesuite priest visiting Abyssinia in the 1620s.
:)
we are the poeple who could’t gain our right, freedom, respect and our land[oromia]. that’s why we are not ready to die. just standup, wakeup the Oromo youth, elders, mothers and fathers of Oromos. only talking is nothing. take your weapon stand with OLF clean the Tigrai bugs from your land today. that’s the way to find real liberation.
GOD BLESS OLF(WABO).
I LOVE MY COUNTRY OROMIA!
Only the strongest are Oromos.
Hi again bro,
Listen, after creating my lastest post (”Persecution: the attraction”!) I remembered you [for some reason]. Read it, when you get the time. You don’t have to comment!
^^ you are romanticising proscution. I don’t know how you reasoned that but I can’t deny the existance of ppl who want to rebel against the SYSTEM and stick it to the MAN. One thing I’m sure of though is, the Oromo cause and our proscution is as real as the nose on your face. It is not a choice we made but an unfortunate tragedy that befalled us. To pull our people from this mediocre state of oppression and exploitation, change agents have to come together and work for this noble cause. Of course that would bring more proscution but at the end of the day we’ll triumph.
LIBERTY & JUSTICE 4 OROMO!
LIBERTY & JUSTICE 4 ALL!
It is time as people we find a way to reconcile; we spend so much of our energy on the so called readmission and justice that we are absolving the true essence of such words. I don’t deny as Oromo’s we were mistreated, killed, raped and etc…But what I am saying is that it is time we started building a nation, a nation that is based on acceptance and tolerance. America because America not because it provides others opportunities a better life, and no matter what color or creed you might be you can make a life; hence, it is this attitude that we need to implement in oromia, the notion that you don’t have to love your neighbor but you must respect him/her. A war only begets war, my people. How far have we come as oromo’s. We need to focus our energy educating our youths; especially the one’s in Minnesota and Atlanta. The youths whom are chewing chat and abusing the welfare system rather than working and earning a decent way of living. Education is the key. Instead of building arms (haltered) let us put our money together and build a house so that when an oromo youth’s attend secondary schools they have somewhere to live for free. Our energy needs to be interjected towards meaningful purposes not just B/S. And as far as our leaders are concerned, let us be mindful of them. Who trusts overzealous bureaucrat who has no interest on our well being than his own. Oromoness has become a business and lets end it people.
Simple talking is nothing. All of us are talking everywhere and always with accusation of our enemy and pride of our society again and again. Those who are in the diasporas are nothing to do for Oromummaa. Really if you are open mind to struggle for our independence we are not slavery for all these years. But the reality is that we prioritize our personal issues. We divde among each other based geographical location, eticinity, belief down to ‘ganda’ level. So our enemies are perfectly know our weak entities, as a result, they do on us what they with out boundary using their simple divde and rule policy. So how could you gain our independece with all these contraints? Even the libration front we trust for a symbol of our independence are also such a big problem within its structure. The ethiopian privzte news paper (’addis neger’)propagate this and others to the public. I fear that if OLF got the chance to rule the country may be Wollega and or Harage may be like the Tigrians woyane did for the tigre people.
God bless Oromiya
“When the country was subjugated, the first thing the Abyssinians did was to capture and execute the kalichas. Now there are almost none of them in the country, or they hide secretly in thickets. In appearance, they differ from others in the fact that they grow very long hair. ” Alexander Bulatovich
“G**** make excellent cavalrymen. Their horses are plain and small, but hardy and fast. In battle, they very rarely get close to the enemy. Instead, having galloped at the enemy in full career and having thrown a spear, they abruptly turn around and gallop away. In general, the G****are marvelous military material, and particularly now, after that school of obedience and discipline that they pass through under the power of the Abyssinians. ”
Alexander Bulatovich
Their peaceful way of life is broken; freedom is lost; and the independent, freedom-loving G***** find themselves under the severe authority of the Abyssinian conquerors.
Alexander Bulatovich
The dreadful annihilation of more than half the population during the conquest took away from the G***** all possibility of thinking about any sort of uprising. And the freedom-loving G***** who didn’t recognize any authority other than the speed of his horse, the strength of his hand, and the accuracy of his spear, now goes through the hard school of obedience.
Alexander Bulatovich
“Without a doubt, the G*****, with their at least five million population, occupying the best land, all speaking one language, could represent a tremendous force if they united. But the separatist character of the people did not permit such a union. Now subjugated by the Abyssinians, who possess a higher culture, they little by little adopt this culture from the Abyssinians, and accept their faith. Since there is no national idea, in all probability, they will with time blend with the Abyssinians, all the more because the Abyssinians skillfully and tactfully manage them, not violating their customers and religious beliefs and treating them lawfully and justly.”

Puma-I appreciate your positive attitude and agree with your comment for the most part. I believe that for the sake of our innocent people back in Oromia region we need to be very diplomatic with the Ethiopian government. There is a say, you can not put a fire with the fire, trust me they will pay for the wrong doings that they have done to Oromos and other ethnics in Ethiopia. Let God be the judge and we the people work hard together to bring change, a better change to those innocent people who do not have a running water, food, clothing, school, and etc.
Let us play a roll in educating our society, help build our region building roads, hospitals, schools, agriculture, technology and etc. We must stop play this none sense political games and unite as oromos on common things and DO something.
My God grant us UNITY so that we can come together and do these things I stated above and build a better future for our Oromo and other ethics in Ethiopia.
God Bless you all, stay positive.
