come on! they tried it in 2000 and had to pullout.

they are expecting $16/share

Its actually not their fault.  come on, they are in “web hosting” — what the hell does that mean!?

no one cares about web hosting…

thats why Go Daddy had to get the “Go Daddy Girls” — so people will slightly, ever so marginally care.

so the bad news..

if you look at the other stocks that are in a similar industry — they really didnt get that much out of the IPO/ going public.

um..  its just not an interesting industry for non web hosters to really care about.

–> Overall, rackspace is a good company.  they ARE doing a good job.

But is this really a good time to go IPO?

I question the wisdom of the timing.

I suppose now is better than never… er better than 2000.

but its not looking good.
