Ahhh…..Couplehood!

September 5, 2008 at 9:10 am ( My Brain, dclawyer, men)

“BEEP! BEEP!BEEP!BEEP!”

It was intended to be the sound of a truck backing up. Or Maven’s minivan, but you know what I mean.

BEEP! BEEP!BEEP!BEEP! Guess what? I’m putting the seat down!!!!”

“WOW. You must really love me,” I purred as I stretched out on the bed. It had been a long day.

“WHAT?!?”

“I SAID YOU MUST REALLY LOVE ME.” Shouting but not full out. Just loud enough so he could hear me through a wall 10 feet away.

“Oh, I’m not disputing that.

Neither am I sweet cheeks. Neither am I.

{swoon!}

    It really is sweet that he thinks enough of you to put the seat down. But, if that action alone calls for raising your hands in triumphant celebration, perhaps the bar is set a tad low.

    In his defense, we have only had two non-seat down incidents. It was a joke, perhaps one that I should have shared. He’s always very thoughtful of my comfort at his place.

    Preventing you from falling in is just good for every one!

    My own prince charming is right. Maven would so like to drive a vehicle that does not NEED warning when it backs up. sighhhhhhhhhh
