Twilight: Most Anticipated Fall Movie of 2008
http://twilight-movie.org/2008/08/29/twilight-most-anticipat...In an on-line poll by movie website, Fandango.com, fans and moviegoers has voted Twilight as the Most Anticipated Fall Movie of 2008. Not only that, it was also voted as the Most Anticipated movie in November 2008. The poll was participated in by more than 3,000 fans where they have to pick one movie they most anticipate to watch. Twilight garnered 34% of the votes followed by the new James Bond film, The Quantum of Solace while in the other category it received 31% compared to Bond’s 20%. To view the complete list, click the link above. In other news, MTV has reposted that Stephenie Meyer will direct Jack’s Mannequin new music video. According to Andrew McMahon, there are going to be lots of water in the video - sadly no vampires. Here is an excerpt: “Yeah, there are no vampires in the treatment. There may be a mermaid, but I’m not sure. I don’t want to give away too much, because we’re letting [Meyer] run with her vision. … I mean, I will say there’s a good amount of water in the video and … what else can I say?” he said Thursday (August 28). “It’s cool. It’s not some sort of exposé on my life. … It’s nice to know we’re going to make a video for the sake of making a video. [We're] making something that’s kind of fantastic and different and exciting but isn’t about the song specifically, and it isn’t about me specifically.” “So I said, ‘Can I reach out to her and see if she’d be interested in writing for the video and coming out and directing it?’ And we got her music, and she was fantastic, and we’ve been working with her ever since,” he continued. “And it works so well, because [with my music], I always try to create something super-visual and create a backdrop where people can take a bunch of experiences but relate them. And she’s done that in a huge way with her books.” Click on the link to read the whole report. ***thanks to MTV.com and marketwatch.com*** jediyoda

Twilight Most Anticipated Fall Film Reports Fandago
http://www.watcherswatch.com/cgi-bin/watch.pl?watch=828082MTV reports that a poll on Fandango has found that the most anticipated movie coming out this Fall is the Twilight move based on the popular Stephenie Meyer fantasy novel series. It's not "High School Musical 3." It's not the new James Bond flick, "Quantum of Solace," either. It's certainly no longer "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince." When asked the question "If you could choose only one movie to see in the theater in the next four months, which film would be your first choice?" "Twilight," the eagerly anticipated first movie to be adapted from Stephenie Meyer's blockbuster series turned out, in fact, to be the MOST anticipated movie of the fall, according to a recent poll on movie website Fandango.com. "Twilight" was voted the number one most anticipated film by 34% of nearly 3,500 respondents, handily beating second place finisher "Quantum of Solace" (20%). "We are surprised by overwhelming buzz for 'Twilight' as the film to beat for the Fall," Rick Butler, Fandango's Chief Operating Officer, told MTV News. "Among all upcoming movies, 'Twilight' has consistently ranked among our top 3 most requested titles [the other two are 'Harry Potter' and 'Watchmen']. Much of the anticipation has to do with the blockbuster novel, and moviegoers looking for a great fantasy in the fall. It appears to have a wide appeal, as parents are also looking for a film they can enjoy along with their teenagers." The Twilight film comes out on 11-21-08. The Harry Potter film was moved so that gave Twilight an opening. There has been huge buzz for the latest Twilight novel as well. It sold 1.3 million copies shortly after being released. However, some fans were reportedly unhappy about the ending. Permalink | Recent Headlines | Our News Feeds
