I Survived a Japanese Game Show: Round three. Back on track

    http://www.gadling.com/ 2008/ 07/ 15/ i-survived-a-japanese-game-show-round-thre…

Filed under: Arts and Culture, Stories, Japan, Video When traveling time zones, it's a good idea to remember that TV schedules change. When I sat down to watch the 3rd episode of "I Survived a Japanese Game Show," in St. Cloud, Minnesota where were were visiting friends on our way to Montana, I forgot it was Central Time.

Finland: Jaskan Grilli, Helsinki’s secret late night address

    http://www.notquitenigella.com/ 2008/ 07/ 14/ finland-jaskan-grilli-helsinkis-la…

When the NY Times writes about a humble Hot Dog stand you tend to regard it a bit differently. For not only is it a place that sells hot dogs and all things to be consumed when drunk at night, it is apparently much more than that. It is said that if you stood in front of there for 3 days, you’d see the who’s who and who’s not of Finland.

Sushizanmai - Right off the Boat in Tsukiji!

    http://www.thetokyotraveler.com/ sushizanmai-right-off-the-boat-in-tsukiji/

Do you like your sushi fresh? I mean straight off the boat fresh? Then you must go to Sushizanmai in the Tsukiji district of Tokyo. The Tokyo Metropolitan Central Wholesale Market in Tsukiji receives about 4,000 tons of fish and vegetables a day and some of that goes straight to Sushizanmai.

Japan Photo of the Week: Tsukiji Samurai

    http://www.japanprobe.com/ ?p=4742

Back in March, I decided I should try and head over to Tsukiji Fish Market before they tried to shut down some of the early morning access for tourists. I learned a few things from going. The first being that cutting fish can be really graceful, like this guy was making it with his knife/sword/katana/saw or whatever it is! Here are the other things I learned: Tsukiji is interesting.

    Tuesday / Wednesday

    http://patapete.vox.com/ library/ post/ tuesday-wednesday.html

Tsukiji fish market Lets see...today is Wednesday.  As the cool afternoon wind blows through the window, I'm working hard trying to piece together the past two days.  I pulled another all-nighter, so my head kind of hurts from staying up 24 hours plus.

Grindz - Tsukiji Fish Market & Restaurant May 13th, 2008 by Braddah Lance Hungry anyone? Because I gotta say, if you not, waste money if you go to Tsukiji with anything in your opu. My first experience there was a 1st birthday party for Andrew Chao, the son of a long time friend Kara Lee.

Map your Tokyo Stay thanks to 'Tokyo Metro' Multilingual Site

    http://www.sergetheconcierge.com/ 2008/ 04/ map-your-tokyo.html

I often complain that many Japanese websites are available only in the native language. Therefore I have to applaud Tokyo Metro for the launch (in February) of a Foreign Language site. It not only offers the Subway Map of course (French, English, German, Spanish) but also tips on how to use the service and tickets options.
