    Green Tomato Chutney

    http://princesspea.org/ ?p=204

There’s not a lot of cooking to see here - this blog is about the things that I love, and cooking doesn’t tend to be one of them. But I’m making an exception today, because I have been making chutney from tomatoes grown in our garden, and that feels kind of special to me.

Tomato Glut - Cook Tomato Sauce

    http://topveg.com/ 2008/ 09/ 05/ tomato-glut-cook-tomato-sauce/

The best way out of a tomato glut is to cook some of Aunty Eileen’s tomato sauce. This has a wonderful flavour and is hard to beat. Aunty Eileen’s Tomato Sauce (makes 5-6lbs) 8lbs toms 4 large onions 2 oz salt 4 cloves (I use 1tsp ground cloves that way you don’t have to fish them out later)

    Perfect Time for Tomatoes

    http://onceuponafeast.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ perfect-time-for-tomatoes.html

Last Saturday we took a drive to Hubbards, a little village along the Lighthouse Route, less than an hour from Halifax. I wrote about our surprise find last spring and we decided to check out their Saturday farmers market again now that the harvest season is really upon us.

tomato paella - worthy of a repeat

    http://clevelandfoodie.blogspot.com/ 2008/ 09/ tomato-paella-worthy-of-repeat.ht…

It was almost a year ago that I wrote about Mark Bittman's ultra simple tomato paella. This dish is so good, and so timely, it's worthy of another post.I've made this dish several times since it first appeared in the New York Times.

    apples+green tomatoes=gooey mincemeat

    http://awaytogarden.com/ applesgreen-tomatoesgooey-mincemeat

I HAVE A CROP OF BATTERED-LOOKING APPLES and a lot of green tomatoes, and won’t be winning any prizes at the county fair with either harvest.  But where’s my old mincemeat recipe gone to, the one that uses large quantities of both?

    Crazy Ways to Grow Tomatoes

    http://www.tomatocasual.com/ 2008/ 09/ 04/ crazy-ways-to-grow-tomatoes/

By Kira Hamman Bored with your usual run-of-the-mill tomato plants? Never fear – the powerful forces of capitalism have conspired to bring you new, different ones! Do they really produce tomatoes? Who cares? They’re cool! The upside-down tomato garden hit the scene a couple of years ago.

    … some more vocals …

    http://armanbohn.com/ blog/ 2008/ 09/ 03/ some-more-vocals/

I recorded some vocal tracks for the song “Breakaway” tonight. The end of the song to be exact. I didn’t do the last line of the song, because it’s a little higher register and kind of loud. I didn’t want to scare the neighbors … more than I probably already do.
