... or overbudget, and aren't worth putting in your portfolio, why bother? Seriously- save your time and energy for projects that matter. |
Some might argue that in a tough economy no one should turn down work. But that's wrong, IMO. If you waste time on projects that run long |
Better to save your resources for a profitable, enjoyable project than to take everything that comes your way (including the headaches). |
Advice for '09- don't take any projects your gut tells you not to- they never work out in your favor (at least not for me). |
I haven't yet broken my New Year's resolutions because I haven't yet started them. |
There's something really satisfying about composting soil for your vegetable garden. Fresh air, black soil, cycle of life, all that. |
Anyone use Facebox or Fancybox or any other similar jQuery-based lightbox scripts? So far Facebox seems nicest. I'm looking for pros/cons. |
@ lifo Bummer. Feel better! At least you aren't sick on Christmas Eve/Christmas like I was. That was a mountain of suck. |
OK- enough (for now) about iTunes' perceived shortcomings. Music recommendation of the day: Boards of Canada - Geogaddi http://is.gd/eJiW |
Also, if I weren't so lazy, I'd just buy music on CD, rip it as lossless, and then resell the disc. That, and it's a shady practice. |
@ squidelephant Also- I'm sort of a dork, but I'd hate to lose my play count/last played data. |
@ squidelephant Eh- I'm too lazy for that. My library is freaking HUGE... I just want a nice, streamlined process right from iTunes. :) |
@ derik The upgrade process just seems really half-baked, which is odd for an Apple product. |
@ derik Well, you can kinda sorta do it song by song, but the experience sucks. I want to just check off what albums I want to upgrade |
@ derik ... and I don't think they're saying that 100% of the iTunes store will be available as iTunes plus, unless I'm missing something. |
@ derik Right- but apparently the only way to upgrade to DRM-free from regular iTunes tracks is to 'upgrade my library to iTunes plus' |
Last night my wife booked a trip to Maui for the end of the month. Finally- light at the end of the tunnel (and another big deadline). |
If I've gotta pay for it, I don't want to upgrade every album I own- just the ones I actually listen to regularly. |
I don't mind paying a slight 'music tax' to upgrade my library, but they really need to improve the upgrade selection UI. |
@ derik Interesting. The bummer is that only a portion of my library is available in iTunes plus. |
