5.0 out of 5 stars Bridal Planner like NO OTHER!, 13 Oct 2003
By A Customer
I feel that it is really refreshing,to pick up a bridal guide that is so open and honest, without waxing lyrical. I have had enough of reading" how special my day is going to be" and I was so pleased to find this book to be honest and forthright in its approach. The tone of the book says it all...yes, we know that you are going to have stress and bother, here are some of the main areas to look out for and here are some solutions as to what you can do to resolve problems BEFORE they come knocking on your door. I honestly loved the fresh realism this book has blown into my bridal world. You will find the chapters informative and really helpful. I hope you enjoy nit as much as I have.

Readers,I am getting married next July and i am an admitted Bridal magazine fanatic! I really want my wedding to be special and different.I came across "Your Day" in a review of one of my favorite websites beauty and the dirt.co.uk and have been astounded at the number of topics this book approached when it comes to plannig a wedding that no other book or magazine would touch with a barge pole!I loved the Bridal party politics bit, what to do with"bridemaidesville", creative ideas for"breaking the ice" at receptions and so much. Get it!You shan't put it down

1.0 out of 5 stars pass the bucket, 10 Nov 2005

I bought this thinking it would be a straightforward no-nonsense guide the big day. Instead it's packed full of typically American schmaltzy over-the-top advice. It's also a shameless plug for the writer and her mates in the business, including their contact details within the text, making it hard to read without wanting to throw the book out of the window.
It's worse than bad chick-lit. Just because I'm getting married does not mean I have turned into "Bridezilla". Avoid it at all costs.
