JOSH BROLIN has hit back at claims he owes his success as an actor to his famous father JAMES and step-mother BARBRA STREISAND.
The W star became accustomed to the limelight as the child of casting director Jane Agee and television/film actor James Brolin, who wed third wife Streisand in 1998.
But Brolin insists he's never taken advantage of his famous relatives - adamant his success is derived from his own talents.
He says, "My mother worked as an assistant casting director for Batman (the TV show) and that's where she met my father... There's this kind of mythology when you have a (famous) parent - he can't get me a job. If he owned a studio, maybe he could get me a job. It's a myth."
