THE VERVE - THE VERVE SCORE NUMBER ONE ALBUM IN U.K.
Reformed rockers THE VERVE are celebrating a successful return to the charts - their new LP FOURTH has debuted atop the U.K. albums countdown.
The Bitter Sweet Symphony hitmakers reunited last year (07) and released their first disc of new material in a decade this summer (08).
Fourth topples Irish band The Script's self-titled album, which falls to three.
Three other new entries also make their debut in the album chart's top five: Slipknot's All Hope Is Gone lands the number two spot; Somewhere, a collection of previously unreleased Eva Cassidy songs, is at four; and Michael Jackson's King Of Pop CD scores the number five position.
Meanwhile, Katy Perry holds on to top place in the U.K. singles chart - I Kissed A Girl enjoys its fourth consecutive week in pole position.
Dance star Eric Prydz's Pjanoo enters in second place, while Rihanna's Disturbia climbs one spot to number three.
