This country and all its politicians are controlled by big banks and special interests. Corruption at it's highest level.
How can insurance companies and banks gets easily bailout money without any questions asked but auto industries will have to do 5 days pleading in front of congress?
Something shady is going on here. You either help everybody or do not help anybody period.
They're all responsible for their own poor management and failure with the benediction of the same politicians they helped put on power financing their campaigns. This whole bailout staff is a circus.

They need to go back and revise the $700 billion deal once more before settling on what to do for the Big 3.
Senator Carper (D) and Senator Bennett (R) are suggesting that the financial institutions bail out the big three, with government guarantees of course. Bennett actually suggested that the financial sector give the Big three the money in exchange for equity shares in the auto industry and Paulson can inject the money into the financial sector. Basically, the tax payer will pay for the bankrupt financial sector to buy the auto industry. Gee, this seems fair.
Something stinks on Capitol Hill.
That should be happening to some extent already! What exactly happened to the hundreds of billions that the financial industry already took? It was supposed to loosen up money for loans - remember the money needed for operating capital for American business? Well, where is it Paulson?
