Education is a key part of the Society’s charitable work.
We organise a wide array of educational activities including adult learning courses, horticultural training for those wishing to pursue a career in horticulture, a bursary scheme and examinations for professional and amateur gardeners.
Schools can make free visits to all four RHS gardens. Continual Professional Development training is available for teachers. Family events are a feature at all gardens. The newly launched Campaign for School Gardening provides support to teachers and students to get gardening in their schools.

RHS libraries are part of the Lindley Library, the world's finest horticultural library. The largest and best-known branch is in London, but the Library at Wisley and the Garden Libraries at the other RHS gardens form an important part of the Lindley Library.

The RHS is a publication powerhouse, producing a large number of publications, from magazines, to books and videos. We also publish the speakers' and judges' registers for clubs and societies, conservation and environment leaflets, the International Plant Registers, Plant Bulletins and the RHS Colour Chart.
