Our Program

  • Tessmann Planetarium astronomy programming stresses the K-12 State of California Science Content Standards.

  • Each of our one-hour shows take students and adults on a trip through the Solar System
    and beyond.

  • The principles associated with the scientific method, gravity and the development of our nearest star, the Sun, are stressed through highly interactive discussions coupled with engaging question and answer sessions.

For more information about our programming, click here. Our Tessmann Planetarium Teacher's Handout and its companion document, the Tessmann Planetarium Student Reference, are available for download in
PDF format.

Help build a Bridge to the Universe!

All you have to do is send a letter to three people:

  • Chairman James Walsh of the Subcommittee on VA/HUD and Independent Agencies

  • Congressman Dana Rohrabacher

  • Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez

To help us better serve the community, just click on this Microsoft Word file name PlanetariumLetters.doc, download the file, personalize the letters, attach three stamps and
mail them off.  With your support, thousands will experience the wonders of our universe for years
to come.

Thank you in advance!
