UC Breakfast Club

The UC Breakfast Club at Santa Ana College is a student organization designed to increase awareness of transfer opportunities to the University of California. Students develop leadership skills through a variety of activities, such as fundraising, student representation, etc. Students receive focused and pertinent information regarding admission, major prep, financial aid and scholarships. Additional benefits of participation range from $100 stipends for completion of service learning hours and regular attendance to meetings. Important networking opportunities available to get to know university level personnel that may have a positive impact on the success of their academic / career goal.

Participation in student clubs is contingent on meeting minimum eligibility as set by Student Activities.  Students must meet the additional selection criteria to receive gift card:

  • Attend at least 3 Breakfast Club Meetings each semester while attending SAC

  • Meet with a Transfer Counselor each semester to have an updated educational plan on file

  • Maintain a GPA of 2.8 to qualify for the Guaranteed Admissions Programs

  • Apply for scholarships

  • Develop a personal statement to be used for scholarships and the UC Personal Statement

  • Complete the  IGETC Certification process

  • Attend the information workshops/sessions provided by the university

  • Complete 16 hrs of community service through SAC’s Service Learning Center

  • Abide by all other rules and regulations as set forth by student activities and Santa Ana College.

Students are encouraged to join the yahoo group for easier communication regarding relevant information about events, special opportunities or critical deadlines among members. Interested students should download, complete and submit Member Information form.
