PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
The Associate of Arts Degree and Certificate curriculum in library technology are designed to successfully prepare students for employment as library technicians, library assistants, library media technicians and other library support staff positions in school, public, special or academic libraries. Course content covers terminology, organization, procedures, standards, and practices. This program also offers additional training and certification for para-professionals who are already employed in the field.
Courses are offered during Fall & Spring semesters only. Two of our courses are taught every semester:
· LT 101, Introduction to Library Technology (to allow students to enter program).
· LT 053, Library Internship (to allow students to exit program).
