The UAMS Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences is one of the largest and fastest growing departments within the College of Medicine. Our mission is to improve treatment for people with mental disorders and their families through professional education, research, and standard-setting clinical care. To accomplish that mission, the UAMS Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) has been established as one of six Centers of Excellence at UAMS. The facility housing the PRI is scheduled to open in the Winter of 2008/2009.
