USGS Emergency Management
During incidents of natural significance, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) provides support to certain National Response Plan emergency support functions.
The USGS serves the Nation by providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; and manage water, biological, energy and mineral resources.
